The Hurley Group is an NHS organisation that runs 15 GP practices and GP walk in centres across London. We have been providing patient-centred care since 1969, working within some of the UK’s most deprived communities.

Directors
Akshay Agarwal MBBS, DRCOG, nMRCGP
Director of Business Development
Akshay qualified from the University of London in 2001. He completed his GP training in 2005 from Kingston Vocational Training Scheme. In addition to working as a GP, Akshay worked for the Commercial Directorate at the Department of Health for over a year. Following this, he was a specialist healthcare management consultant with McKinsey and Company in London. Currently, he leads the Hurley Group’s telehealth initiative and pathway redesign. He enjoys playing sport and has a passion for cricket.
Kelly Brown FCA
Kelly qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999 and in 2008 was made a partner at Tudor John Chartered Accountants in Epsom, Surrey where she took over the responsibility for their healthcare portfolio. During this time she worked closely with the Hurley Group, becoming a Non Executive Director in 2009, where she has assisted them with procurement opportunities whilst offering commercial guidance to help the Board to develop their strategic plan. In September 2011 Kelly joined the Hurley Group as their full-time finance director to help the Board continue to strive towards becoming the leading provider of exceptional healthcare within the UK. Kelly lives in Surrey with her husband and two children.
Mabli Jones
Director or Operations and Organisational Development
Mabli trained as a nurse in the mid-80s, eventually specialising in HIV care. In 1999 she joined North Southwark PCG as their Clinical Governance Manager, and subsequently as their Locality Manager. When the PCT formed in 2002 she took up the role of Associate Director of Service Improvement. In June 2006 Mabli joined Tower Hamlets PCT as an Associate Director in the Primary Care Directorate, becoming Director of Primary Care in 2010. Mabli joined the Hurley Group in April 2011 as the Director of Operations and Organisational Development, not least because she has a passion for developing excellence in primary care delivery in inner city areas. She lives in South East London with her partner and three children. Her hobbies include gardening, especially tending to her modest kitchen garden. She also loves attending the theatre, films and art exhibitions during any other (theoretical) free time.
