Born in South London, Arvind qualified from Leicester University in 1991 and has been a Partner in the Hurley Group since 1996. In 2014 he co-founded eConsult which is now the largest online consultation platform in the UK, covering over 29 million patients in 3,300 GP practices.

Between 2015 and 2018, he was the National Director for Primary Care and the Deputy National Medical Director for the NHS in England. He co-authored the General Practice Forward View which secured £2.4 billion extra investment for general practice, grew the allied health professional workforce by over 5,000 staff, developed over 1,000 new GP premises, and created the 1,250 Primary Care Networks where practices (and other stakeholders) work together to provide a broader range of services in the community.

Key areas of interest include care for vulnerable patient groups and the judicious adoption of technology that improves health outcomes for patients. He currently leads on transforming services for the benefit of patients in the Hurley Group of practices and urgent care centres. In addition to seeing patients, he also acts as an advisor to other healthcare organisations.

Outside work Arvind enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and travelling.
