Miriam graduated from the University of Manchester with a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree in 2017, before completing her pre-registration training at St George’s hospital and qualifying as a pharmacist in 2018. Following this, she worked as a Mental Health pharmacist for 2 years at St Pancras hospital; working alongside patients in acute psychosis and rehabilitation wards, as well as community outreach teams. She also worked as an on-call pharmacist for the Whittington hospital during this time, where she completed various rotations including Surgery, Respiratory and Cardiology. Although challenging, her experience in tertiary and secondary care allowed her to build great resilience, time-management and interpersonal skills.
Miriam has continued to develop these in her most recent role as a clinical pharmacist in primary care, playing a key role in the COVID vaccine rollout in the Brixton/Clapham area. She hopes to complete her Independent Prescribing course soon and is particularly interested in cardiovascular care.
Outside of work, Miriam enjoys travelling, running and bouldering.
