Rumana is a Senior Clinical Pharmacist and leads our Clinical Pharmacist Service at the Staunton Group Practice. With12 years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist, Rumana joined the Hurley Group in October 2022 from the Haringey GP Federation where she was one of just two founding members of the Clinical Pharmacy team which today has 40 pharmacists with a footprint across Haringey Primary Care.
Rumana is an independent prescriber and holds both a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice from the University of Leeds and an MPharm degree from King’s College London, all three of which she has completed with Distinctions alongside building a wealth of clinical pharmacy experience from across the country. This includes a pre-registration year at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn followed by a Trainee Specialist Pharmacist role at Europe’s biggest teaching hospital, the Leeds Teaching Hospital, a Medicine Specialist Pharmacist role with the Nottingham University Hospital and a Critical Care Specialist Clinical Pharmacist position at the North Middlesex Hospital in London.
More recently, the breadth and depth of Rumana's knowledge and experience has allowed her to move into clinical pharmacy service leadership roles first for the Haringey GP Federation and now for the Hurley Group with a particular focus on the recruitment, training and development of Pharmacy Teams. This allows Rumana to both further her passion for patient care and ensuring pharmacists are recognised for their invaluable work in primary care.
Outside of work and when her two-year old toddler allows it, Rumana enjoys baking, cooking, oil painting, and travelling!
