Sharon Fernandez

Sharon qualified as a nurse in 1985 and is an experienced Renal/Transplant Nurse Specialist. In 2000 she took on the role of Lead Nurse across SE London at the inception of NHS Direct.

In 2005 Sharon moved to lead Community Nursing Service at Lewisham PCT. Following this, she took up a role as a Primary Care Commissioner and more recently worked at NHS England as the Assistant Head of Primary for SE London.

Sharon joined the Hurley Group three years ago and recently worked on the implementation, delivery and evaluation of the National Integrated Unscheduled Care Strategy. She is also the Strategic Nurse Advisor for the Hurley Group.

Sharon is committed to nursing and wider health and social care and holds a strong conviction that the quality of service design, innovation, delivery and monitoring is an integral part of the NHS experience.

For many years she has worked alongside clinicians in primary care, secondary care and public health settings, and within these partnerships and has redesigned services to improve patient outcomes.
