Sioux Thorne

Sioux has worked in the NHS for over 30 years and joined the Hurley in 2001 originally as the Assistant Practice Manager for the Hurley Clinic and then as Joint Practice Manager in 2003. From 2005, as Senior Manager, she was actively involved with the development and expansion of the Hurley Group growth from the 1 original practice to over 12 in various London boroughs plus 3 Walk in Centres and the Urgent Care centres in Bexley and Erith. Sioux also took on the Senior HR Manager role and created an HR Team to support the growing organisation and staff; creating the original staff handbook, policies and procedures.

Sioux is currently the Senior Regional Manager with responsibility for 6 GP practices across 5 boroughs and the Training and Development Department which launched the apprenticeship scheme for employees. Sioux works strategically and holistically in developing and implementing a variety of QI projects across the group, with an eye for staff involvement and financial viability. Her skills are in process reform, change management and development, as well as having a passion for developing staff and patient services. Sioux is actively involved with the PCNs in her boroughs and enjoys the challenges and successes this brings. Sioux holds a CIPD Management qualification.

Outside of work, Sioux enjoys gardening and design and is a member of her local garden society. Her favourite form of exercise is tap dancing.
